Joe – Guy 10: Quality-Morning-Action

Today I am 1/3 done with the project – wow – and GG just informed us that our little blog hit quite a milestone the other day! A BIG THANKS to GG and my co-horts, our blog followers, and, most of all, to the guys – some of whom are blog followers themselves. Hey guys :)

OK I confess, I did not score Quality Morning Action (and for the record I would not during the 30Dates project). But I did meet a Quality guy, this Morning, and he’s a guy of Action. And I also bumped into an old commute. Hey there!  Yeah wow, its been a long time, morning Brown Line rush, how are you? I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many Kindle’s in one place before. It sure is different than…my…well, my Red Line, yeah. Anyway…hey, really good seeing you. You look good. OK, yeah, and say hi to all your brand new stations for me.  OK, bye.

On to the post at hand. Guy 10 and I met for breakfast at a Loop diner before work. And is there anything better than a typical diner breakfast?  OK, maybe real QMA…well no, not even that. And further for the record, I wouldn’t even use that big-block-o-cheese phrase – QMA – in real life.  But this is blog life, and ~I Proclaim We Shall Let The Stinky Cheese Be~.

I arrived at the diner first – other than my traveling fiasco date, I think I’ve always been the first one to arrive. Try not to keep anyone waiting! This morning initially felt like a business meeting, what with people scurrying about on the Loop streets to their jobs. G10 is a positive, good-looking guy who seems to really be on top of things in his life, but in a humble way. I couldn’t think of a word better than ‘Action’ to describe that because he seems to make Action happen in lots of ways.  G10 is in sales, so he is of the “what’s next” mentality (and his match profile pretty much states that verbatim). That’s probably why he was so fascinated by what I was doing. But I feel he raises his game because he is such an empathetic, attentive listener – a huge thing for me personally.  And that’s what makes him a Quality guy. Although I didn’t have a spark myself – and I’m trying to trust when the spark is there and when it is not – I am not letting this guy get away.  He is totally on my list. My setup list, that is, for some lucky single gay friend of mine. Stay tuned single gay friends…and followers…please, everyone, keep reading along… lots to see here, so please, converse… again folks please…for your own entertainment, converse please… lots to see here, so please….yes, please keep reading…

Eliz-Date 7: Lucky #7

Where do I begin?!?

Scene 1: Macy’s Department Store, men’s socks, 7:55 pm
Long story short, my 9pm drink date got moved to a 8:15 coffee date due to Guy 7 having to go back to work to close a case. Not being prepared, as I thought I would have time to go home and spruce, I decided to pop into Macy’s 5 minutes before it closed to prepare myself. With assistance from a friend, I applied some concealer, a light bronzer sweep and lip gloss, switched shoes, and gave my self a spritz; Tosselled the hair and I was good to go.

Scene 2: Coffee Shop, 10 mins later
Guy 7 walks in and I think the heavens opened up and angels trumpeted. I was hooked instantly. Everything about him: his hair, eyes, his clothes, the way he smiled, smelled (yes, I sniffed)= YUMMY. We had an hour or so to chat and it flew by. Easy to talk with, laugh and I found myself wanting more. I even wanted to volunteer help at the firm just so I can keep talking with him. The funny thing is we didn’t even get to the basics: last name, birthday, how long have you been in Chicago. We were two chatter boxes about everything else. Our mutual love for fried chicken did come up (jack pot).

Scene 3: Street, 1:10 mins later
As we grabbed our stuff to go, we lingered outside the coffee shop not wanting to leave, trying to make quick plans to see each other sometime this weekend (ps, for those of you who know me, this IS SO NOT LIKE ME, isn’t it great?!). We hugged and cheek-kissed good-bye, bodies close. He moved his hand to the small of my back (love it!) and I, of course, had to move my hands down his arms (WOW) and we said good-bye.

I need to clear my schedule STAT.

Thank you…Now spread the news.

THANK YOU!

Yesterday, our blog officially hit over 200 views!  I was especially happy when I read at the bottom of our stats page, that our own visits to the blog don’t even count in this total!  So thank you (and you, and you, and you, and you) for reading. We hope you’re enjoying this as much as our daters are- or in some cases, even more.

And if you are, spread the wealth- pass it on to your friends and let them have some fun too.  At a fan’s suggestion, we just created a FACEBOOK FAN PAGE. If you’re lucky, some of the daters may even reveal their mysterious identity on the page. So get on it and fan us damn it!  We only have 19 days left. Let’s do it right.

xoxo,
